Lux Fundació is a project that was born from the hand of a group of music enthusiasts with the intention of bringing and sharing ancient music with the general public using historical criteria.
Years of study and experience guarantee the trajectory of the musicians who are members of the Lux Fundació. One of the common characteristics of these types of ensembles is their flexibility in terms of the number of musicians in each project or concert. The intention is to be able to offer totally varied repertoires that go from orchestral, chamber or solo recital concert programs for its components.
Both the starting point and the objective is to create careful concerts, based on historical and musicological criteria, always making use of the original instruments for which the repertoire was created. In this way, it is intended to transport listeners to the splendorous Europe of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Lux Fundació has its own record label where two albums have been released so far. One dedicated to the music of Johann Sebastian Bach and another viols consort with music from the Spanish Renaissance and Baroque.
Likewise, Lux Fundació carries out an active solidarity action giving support to non-profit social entities. Since 2018 Lux Fundació collaborates with the ARRELS FUNDACIÓ of Barcelona. This active entity is the recipient of all the benefits resulting from the foundation's concerts, as well as all the donations from the solidarity concerts that the Lux Fundació can carry out.
Lux Fundació is a member of the Association of Spanish Early Music Groups (GEMA).
